Printed Materials
While we live in a digital world, physical printed materials still make an impact and are needed. Print plays a crucial role in building brand awareness, establishing credibility and leaving a lasting impression on our audiences.
Guidelines and Considerations
Here are a few guidelines to consider when printing marketing and communications materials that represent the University of Arizona brand.
1. Define Your Objectives
Before diving into the design and production of your printed materials, define your audience, what do you want to achieve and if there is a specific call to action. Printing sustainably is also aligned with our University’s values.
2. Design and Content
Follow the brand guidelines for color, typography, voice and tone, photography and written style guide. Then, tailor content to your core audience.
For instance, should your print ad point to a specific landing page? Or does it make sense to make your signage more engaging for your audience? Using interactive elements like QR codes, augmented reality or near-field communication technology may be something to consider, especially if the experience is continued on a website, at an event, etc., and is something that can be measured.
3. Resources
